Bedouin Société
Maker’s Story
Bedouin SOCIETE’s ethos centres around sustainability, compassion, kindness, integrity, dignity, respect, curiosity, and uniqueness, these are values and practices that are embodied throughout the brand.
Created by Virginia Feldtman in Melbourne in 2011. First interested in pursuing a career in architecture and interior design, Virginia soon discovered her love of fashion, forging a career at Calvin Klein for several years before establishing bedouin SOCIETE.
Pure linen is chosen for its robustness, versatility, relaxed sophisticated aesthetic and low environmental impact. Being a fibre that doesn’t require pesticides to flourish, and it’s also recyclable, therefore kind to us and our earth. Each product is carefully designed with longevity in mind, minimising landfill and the need for repurchasing.
Bedouin Societe works with the world’s best textile artisans to produce simple, raw, yet understated home and lifestyle products. Characterised by luxurious linen textiles derived from the yarn of flax plants in the growing regions of Belgium and Northern France.
